The Iberian Polo Tour left a mark on the Sotogrande calendar.
On May 9, the stage of the Spring Tour 2021 ended and he did it in a big way. 6 teams participated in the tournament and an exhibition of 22 goals took place on Saturday in the Ayala fields.
Regarding the Strabrock Cup, the last event of the spring tour, PX / Almasanta won the cup by winning 5 to 4 against Los Schatzies. The team made up of Joaquin Castelvi, Aristide Fagionato, Manuel López and Pelayo Berazadi defeated Los Schatzies in a close final made up of Jella Herzer, Mauricio Bolaña, Juani Otharan and Genaro Ringa.
At the Stake Subsidiary Cup, Nalu Pulu / Real Club de Pineda defeated Riva / Eleven - Eleven 5 ½ to 4. The teams formed by the side of the winner Christian Mellentin, Nicolás Álvarez, Pedro Beca and Mario Gómez and while the fourth place were Federico Rosales, Andy Bihrer, Padmanabh Singh and Gerardo Mazzini.
We cannot fail to mention that this edition had the participation of the great Facundo Sola, who, leaving his mark while passing through Spain, played in the Spion Polo Team, also accompanied by Jonathan Strabrock, Sergio Pérez and Juan Carlos Gavira. The sixth team was Horseware led by its patron Tom Mac Guinnes, Daniel Gariador, Agustin Perego and Patricio Neves.
The jewel of the weekend was the exhibition between the Iberian Polo Team (Nacho Domecq, Pelayo Berazadi, Martin Iturraspe, Facundo Sola) and Ayala Polo Team (second Fernandez Llorente, Martin Espain, Santiago Laborde, Genaro Ringa) where we were able to enjoy great individual skills and amazing plays.
